"VIRTUAL ADOPTEES" are dogs that are too old, too sick, or require too much special care and/or handling to be adopted. While we would prefer to see every rescued dog get adopted, sometimes it is better for the dog to keep them where they feel safe and where they can be closely managed--without another major disruption that could put them at risk. These dogs continue to receive vet care, medications, and anything else they need. They are settled into their foster homes where they will continue to be loved until quality of life can no longer be maintained.

If you are unable to bring a dog into your home, but would like to "virtually" adopt Cairo, her foster mom or dad will be happy to send you updates on her progress and new pictures every now and then. There is no set donation; any amount will help. Contact the Treasurer at 301-434-1086 for more information.
