Devon is a 6-year-old, neutered, liver-spotted male. He is a very big boy with a huge heart, is very gentle, takes treats with a soft mouth, and wants to be with people and other dogs. He fits nicely in homes with other dogs because in the beginning he missed being separated from his brother.

Devon is heartworm negative, up to date on all shots, and ready to make any person the love of his life. Devon is one of those special dogs that loves children and warms up to everyone he meets. He is easy on a lead and does know a few basic commands. This endearing fellow is crate trained and house trained; he is curious but is not destructive. Devon has more spots than any Dal on earth. He will be a perfect dog in any home environment. Can you open your heart and home to this wonderful gentleman?

Devon came to us with advanced glaucoma in his left eye. He was in considerable pain so the vet immediately removed the eye. Devon was a real trooper at the vets offices, and he stood perfectly still for his suture removal. After the sutures were removed he even kissed the vet! Devon has adjusted to the loss of his eye, but we cannot be certain that he will not eventually lose the other one. Because of this, Devon needs a guardian who will be willing to train him now in case he goes blind later. CCDAL has a wonderful woman with experience training blind animals and she will be more than willing to help Devon's new family. Dogs are extremely resilient and can adjust to the "inconveniences" of life much easier than we humans do. Devon's hearing and sense of smell are outstanding, he is smart and eager to learn. He will be quick to learn. Contact us for more information about training a great dog for his future.
