Dottie is a sweet Dalmatian mix that needs a special home who can provide her a lot of love and friends to play with. She was helped out by a CCDAL board member and when pulled from the shelter did not feel so good. Her foster mom fell in love with her sweet face and was gracious enough to open her home to Dottie. Dottie needed several months of recuperation with a predictable routine, good nutrition, lots of love and medical care before she was able to be spayed and to have a dental. She had 13 teeth pulled, was spayed and now feels amazing!

Not much is known about Dottie's history except she was found as a stray and brought to the shelter. We believe she is middle aged, but unsure because of the poor condition of her teeth. She is currently residing with several older dogs and loves to be with them, but needs a place where the resident dogs would like to play with her and an active family who will appreciate her energy and all the love she has to give!

Dottie will sit with you and put her head in your lap for ear rubs and sit quietly while you rub her ears. She also loves to eat and will come running when it is time for breakfast or dinner. She is crate-trained and house-broken.

Dottie's current foster mom will be moving soon, so Dottie needs either another foster home or a permanent "furever" home. Please contact Melisa at 540-421-4842 or fill out an application.
