Because of her ongoing health problems and her age, CCDAL has decided to make Honey a "virtual adoptee." This means that she will live out her remaining time with her current foster mom but is available to be "virtually adopted" by any kind person who would like to contribute toward her medical expenses. This would be an ideal situation for anyone who would like to adopt, but for one reason or another is not able to have a dog physically in their life at this time.

Honey was chained in a backyard her entire life, suffered repeated sunburns on her back, put up with abuse and neglect, and was starved for both food and love when Animal Control finally rescued her and gave her to CCDAL. Honey has a wonderful temperament in spite of all she has been through, but we wanted her to know that she has found her forever home with one of our special volunteers and that she will never be moved again. She is very happy in her current, quiet surroundings where she will get all of the care and attention she needs.

If you would like to help us give Honey a comfortable and loving home for the time she has left, please consider contributing to her care with a donation. You can make the check out to "CCDAL" and send it directly to our Treasurer:

Be sure to note on the check that it is "for Honey!!" In exchange for your generosity, we will list you on our "Angels" page with the other adopters and contributers, and Honey's foster mom will keep you updated on her condition, send you pictures, and answer any questions you might have...while passing on your hugs and kisses to this special girl that is sweeter than honey.
