Lucky is a 3 year old, very outgoing female that just loves people, even strangers. She always seems to be happy – we always say that her glass is always half full, and she’ll roll over on her back to get petted by just about anyone. She is house trained and crate trained. She will go into her crate any time for a biscuit. When we go to the biscuit tin, she will run inside her crate and sit and wait for her biscuit. She is very food motivated, and she was quite a butterball when she first came to CCDAL, so her new family will need to keep a close eye on her weight to keep her healthy. She would do well with older children, but would probably knock toddlers down accidentally.

She is loving, playful, and likes to spend time with her people. She likes to be pressed up against you, and if you get up and move over 2 inches, she’ll also get up and move over 2 inches so that she is firmly pressed up against you again. She gets along great with the male Dal mix in her current home, but unfortunately she and the female Dal in her home have developed escalating aggression issues toward each other. As such, she needs to either go to a home where she will be the only dog or to a home with a male who does not need to be the “boss." She has not exhibited any aggression toward people. We are not sure how she will do with cats.

If you have a securely fenced yard and are committed to providing the time, love, and exercise this girl needs on a daily basis, then maybe you could be Lucky’s forever home.
