Marmaduke is a great big puppy who is doing his best to live up to his namesake of comic fame. At a year old, he is full of energy, still a little "clutsy" in his movements, but always full of love and sloppy kisses.

Marm is neutered, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm negative, and on monthly preventative. He is also in obedience class and doing very well with clicker training. He is housebroken and crate-trained, but we are working on his overly-exuberant greetings.

As near as we can tell from his shelter records, he was first picked up as an abandoned puppy, adopted out, got loose and was picked up by animal control. Owner signed him over to the shelter and he was adopted out again. He was removed from that owner for "inadequate housing/yard" and put up for adoption again. The third owner had him for less than 10 days and returned him for "behavior issues." Imagine living in three homes and not having one person who cared enough about this loving puppy to give him some training?

Since being in his present foster home, Marmaduke has been a great source of entertainment...and sloppy kisses! He is anxious to learn, craves attention, loves belly rubs, and hasn't yet met a dog he doesn't like. He gets along with children and would love some kids of his own that would enjoy teaching him some new tricks. If you have a big fenced yard and like to play, Marm is for you.
