Molly is an adorable Dalmatian mix that was taken to a shelter when her family could no longer care for her. She is young, between 2 and 3 years old, extremely friendly, loves to explore and receive attention. She is fine with other dogs, shared her kennel at the shelter with another female dog, and loved the 11 year old boy who helped transport her from the shelter.

Molly has been vetted and is up to date on her vaccines.

Molly regularly goes out with a lot of other dogs now and gets along fine with everyone. She tries hard to get other dogs to play with her, doing the usual play-bowing routine, and has not had any issues with either people or dogs. She is a very sweet girl who wants to get along with everyone, and she ignores the six cats that are also loose in her foster home.

Molly loves her crate and automatically heads for it to take a quiet nap after playing out in the yard. She is now using it as a "stash" for all the toys she can collect from the house and yard, having recently discovered what toys are for, and that she can hide them in her crate.

Molly is very good on a leash, and happily does her business while walking on a leash or loose in the fenced yard. She is very well housebroken, though this always has to be reinforced and clarified in any new environment. Molly is a great house dog who is active enough to enjoy any outdoor activities with her people (or other dogs), yet is perfectly happy just hanging around, as long as she is near her people. She is very affectionate and good with the few strangers she has met.

If Molly seems like the right dog for you, please fill out our online application and we will arrange a visit with her at her foster home in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
