Noel is a liver and white female that was dumped by her owner at the Spotsylvania Animal Control Shelter in Virginia. This beautiful gal was puppy-milled by her owner until he no longer wanted her. Although it was evident that Noel had at least several litters, there were no recent vet records indicating proper care.

When CCDAL pulled her out of the shelter in December she was so sick that she was immediately taken to the vet for care and boarding. She was diagnosed with pneumonia that appeared to be terminal. Noel had lost 14 pounds while she was in the shelter. The vets prepared CCDAL for her death. A CCDAL volunteer decided to stay in quarantine with her and hand feed her small amounts. The Culpeper Animal Hospital staff decided to follow suit and Noel started responding. Noel became the "miracle Dal" of Christmas 2004.

Now, Noel is in a wonderful foster home where she responds to the love she receives with an unlimited amout of love to the whole family. This gal is beautifully marked, is about 10 years of age, good with other dogs and cats, house-trained, crate-trained, and great with children. She is not destructive so furniture and personal belongings are safe with this wonderful gal.

Noel has been fully vetted, is heartworm and Lyme negative, and has recovered from her near death experience. Noel would fit into any loving home without stairs...she has arthritis and stairs are difficult for her. She is well suited for a single person or a family. Noel comes highly recommended for adoption - her fan club spans shelter staff, vet hospital employees, CCDAL, and her foster home.
