Oreo is a high-energy youngster, about 2 years old. She has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccines, is heartworm negative, and is on monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative. She is housebroken and crate-trained, and will settle in quietly for the night.

Oreo will do best as the only dog in the household because she is not the most social around new dogs. She also has some issues with guarding her food and could use someone willing to help her work through that problem. Although she has apparently had no prior experience with cats, she has learned to tolerate or ignore them altogether in her foster home. She loves to meet and visit with humans, and she was a real hit at the vet's office when she was there to be spayed.

This young girl needs an active family with older children and a dog-savvy owner who knows the value of formal obedience training. With some positive reinforcement and consistence with all family members, Oreo will become a well-adjusted member for the family and a joy for many years to come.
