RYAN (Courtesy Posting)

A very scared 3-year-old Ryan and his brother ended up in a New York City kill shelter when their owner died. Ryan's brother was adopted, but Ryan wasn't so lucky...until a last minute rescue landed him in rural Maryland. When Ryan arrived, he was so underweight that he was wobbly and couldn't stand straight. Only his happy face and shiny coat gave glimpses of the nice boy he would become.

Ryan has now gained enough weight and strength that he runs and plays with the other dogs. Ryan may be a little shy at first, but quickly becomes a kissy bundle of love. He is sometimes so eager to express himself that he "talks." He likes to cuddle when watching TV or taking a nap. Ryan does not pull on a leash or try to bolt through an open door.

Ryan misses his foster mom when she's not home, but is a good boy and does not need to be crated. Ryan will chase after a ball and sometimes even return it! Ryan is just an all-around nice, well--mannered boy who would like his own person or family to love. His only fault is that he can be quick to grab treats from the hand and should not live with younger children for that reason.

Ryan is up to date on shots, neutered, housebroken, and on heartworm preventative. Ryan is being fostered in Chesapeake City MD. Please email bohemiariverview@toast.net (link below) for more information on Ryan.
