My name is Sally. I am a 12-year-old, spayed, liver-spotted female. My brother, my sisters, my mom and I were left in a bad place, but we ended up being saved by some very nice people. My foster mom says I am perfect because I am not destructive, not aggressive towards any living creature, and I do not bark...and, yes, I am fabulous with cats, other dogs, and even birds...but I know I'm not really perfect. I drink a lot of water and I pee a lot, and I can't always make it outside in time. I get medicine that helps me a little, but my foster mom and dad still have to clean up behind me more than I would like.

Except for that medical problem, I am easy to care for because I don't ask for much and I never complain. But I'm getting tired, and some days I just don't feel like my old self. I'm slowing down and sleeping more. I get chilly in this cold weather, but my "special coat" keeps me toasty warm and I have a great bed very close to the fireplace. My foster dad keeps the fire going all day and all night. I'm sure that the others enjoy the warmth, too, but I like to think he does it just for me!

My medical bills have already been more than $1,000, but the CCDAL folks will see to it that I have plenty to eat, the medications that I need, a soft warm bed, and lots of TLC for the time I have left. Since there is no cure for me, I'll just live out my life here. I'm really grateful that they are willing to clean up my little messes.

If you could contribute toward my medical care, CCDAL would be really grateful to you! Just click the link below to return to the home page, then click on the "Shop and/or Donate" link at the top of the page. All donations are tax deductible.

Respectfully yours,
